At the start of the inferential statistics, the aim was to compute sample statistics and infer the population parameters. to make the problem simple, the assumption was made that pollution parameters are known and sample statistics were calculated. But, after this, we never went back to solving the original problem of calculation of population parameters from samples. did I miss something here?
That’s what week 19 and so on focuses on.
Some of the estimators and likelihood of sample statistics is being taught in those lectures.
